FREE BIRTHMOTHER SERVICES

AFS respects and admires your loving desision to make a positive choice for your child. Through caring support, AFS will provide you FREE adoption support services during pregnancy and after delivery.  Adoption Facilitation Services can assist  birthmothers regardless of race, creed, color, or past history, with a loving adoption plan, counseling, referrals to medical assistance, financial support, housing, transportation, legal referrals, presentation of adoptive parents(s) based on the birthmother's concern, intermediary after placement in open adoption situations and post adopt services. AdoptionFacilitation Services will: *Actively work with Birthmother and Adoptive   Parents to secure a compatible match *Provide support for both parties initial   introductions and meeting *Arrange for immediate medical care for Birthmother *Arrange for immediate adoption counseling for   Birthmother *Arrange for maternity home or other housing, if   needed, for Birthmother *Arrange for transportation, if needed *Assist with reasonable living expenses, if necessary *Provide all given Birthmother medical information to  Adoptive Parents *Arrange necessary hospital registration *Ensure that all necessary paperwork is in place at the delivering medical facility *Coordinate with necessary adoption professionals, dependent on state requirements *Transportation to hospital for delivery, if required *Attendance and support for Birthmother during   labor and delivery, if requested *Support for Adoptive Parent(s) during labor and   delivery *Follow-up at hospital post delivery and recovery *Transportation home after hospital release, if   required *Indefinite open adoption liaison, intermediary for   photos, letters, and visitation, if applicable *Ongoing post adopt services for both parties
